6 Kg Charas Seized in Utrasoo Raid; Two Booked in Narcotics Case

Anantnag, April 9: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Station Utrasoo carried out a search operation in the Patti Sheikhpora area, leading to the recovery of a substantial quantity of contraband.
The operation was conducted by a police team led by the SHO Utrasoo under the supervision of the SDPO Achabal. During the search at the residence of Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh, police recovered approximately 6 kilograms of a substance resembling charas/ganja.
Officials said that during the course of the raid, another individual, identified as Aadil Latif of Dawoodpora Brah, was also found to be involved in the narcotics trade.
A case has been registered at Police Station Utrasoo under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the wider network involved.
Police reiterated their commitment to continue strict action against drug peddling in the district.
