FIR Filed Against Pahalgam Hotel for Hiding Stay of Foreign Tourists: Police
Police have registered a case against a hotel in Pahalgam for allegedly concealing the stay of foreign nationals and violating mandatory reporting norms.

Anantnag, Mar 23 (KNC): Police have registered a case against a hotel in Pahalgam for allegedly concealing the stay of foreign nationals and violating mandatory reporting norms.
As per details available with news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, during routine checking in the Dehwatoo area, authorities found that 23 foreign nationals, including 19 British citizens, had checked into a hotel in Laddi on the evening of March 22.
Police said the hotel management failed to inform Police Station Pahalgam and did not submit the required Form ‘C’, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners and Immigration Act, 2025 and breaching laid-down security protocols.
Accordingly, FIR No. 18/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam, and investigation has been initiated.
District Police Anantnag has urged all hotel operators to strictly adhere to legal requirements regarding reporting of foreign guests to avoid such action in future. (KNC)
